imvirt-helper software package provides helper programs to detect several virtualizations, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install imvirt-helper
imvirt-helper is installed in your system.
Make ensure the imvirt-helper package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep imvirt-helper *
You will get with imvirt-helper package name, version, architecture and description in a table
